All aboard! J'adore Dance invites you to experience the magic of the holiday season with our annual Polar Express Production—a heartwarming performance that brings the beloved holiday classic to life through the art of dance! This spectacular production will transport dancers and audiences alike on a journey filled with wonder, excitement, and holiday cheer.

Auditions & Important Dates

Dancers ages 7 and up are invited to audition for this unforgettable experience. Roles include lead characters, ensemble members, and specialty dance groups that capture the enchantment of the Polar Express story.

  • Audition Date: Friday, April 11th ages 7-11 5:30-6:30pm / ages 12+ 6:30-8pm)

  • Location: J'adore Dance Studio

  • Casting Announcements: Will be sent via mail and email.

Dancers of all levels are encouraged to audition! Our faculty will be looking for energy, stage presence, and a commitment to bringing the story to life.  If your dancer is unable to attend, please contact us before April 11th to make alternate arrangements. Once auditions have passed, no additional auditions will be held, as casting will begin immediately.

Participation Requirements

To be part of The Polar Express, dancers must:

✅ All participants must be enrolled for Season 16 at J’adore Dance

✅ Dancers who are NOT enrolled in our Classical Training or Company Program must attend at least one of our (3) Pre-Teen or Teen Summer Workshops - If you are planning on auditioning for the Classical Training or Company Program your summer expectations in those programs will be in addition to the requirements for The Polar Express

✅ Attend the summer choreography camp (July 7th - 12th)

✅ Be available for at least two of the following summer rehearsals: July 25th, August 8th, or August 22nd

✅ Commit to various Saturday rehearsals from September through December (full schedule released in July)

✅ Perform and attend all tech and dress rehearsals, as well as all Polar Express Performances (we anticipate hosting 2)

✅ Meet all attendance and financial obligations

Financial Details

Participation in the Polar Express Production requires a performance fee, which includes costume rentals, rehearsals, and production costs.

  • Participation Fee: $350 per dancer / A $150 deposit is due by June 1st, with the remaining balance due July 7th at the start of choreography camp.

  • Costume Fees: All costumes are rented and the rental and cleaning fee is included in the participation fee

  • Additional & Optional Fees: Peroformance Video / Merchandise / Program Ads to dancers
